ProChess Students Shine at Northern Star Chess Tournament

ProChess students Karan Gajula, Daanish Arora and Jinay Patel delivered impressive performances at the Northern Star Chess Tournament, helping Glendal Primary School secure first place in the team competition.

The tournament provided an excellent opportunity for young chess players to compete against other talented students and demonstrate their skills, preparation and competitive spirit.

Glendal Primary School Secures First Place

Representing Glendal Primary School, the ProChess students played an important role in the school’s outstanding team performance.

Glendal Primary School finished 1st place by a comfortable margin, with the strong individual performances of its players contributing significantly to the school’s success.

Karan Gajula Scores a Perfect 7/7

One of the standout performances of the tournament came from Karan Gajula, who produced a remarkable 7/7 score.

Karan won all seven of his games, achieving a Fischer-perfect score of 7/7. His outstanding result earned him the prestigious Star of the Tournament Trophy.

A perfect score in a competitive chess tournament is an exceptional achievement and highlights Karan’s strong preparation, consistency and ability to perform under tournament conditions.

Daanish Arora Wins Bronze Medal

Daanish Arora also produced an excellent performance, scoring 5/7.

Daanish’s strong result earned him the Bronze Medal in the Grade 5–6 category. His performance was an important contribution to Glendal Primary School’s overall success in the team competition.

Jinay Patel Makes a Valuable Contribution

Jinay Patel scored 4/7 at the tournament and played a significant role in Glendal Primary School’s first-place finish.

Team chess competitions require consistent contributions from players across the board, and Jinay’s performance helped strengthen the school’s overall score.
